As you may know, we are against War!
Our goal is to bring our troops home to protect our border and end the exploitation of Americans by Non-US citizens. The North Koreans and Syrian situations are a dismal result of bad foreign policy perpetrated by evil, for-profit War mongers! Obama has mishandled affairs with North Korea by not even talking to their leader, once! He continues to exacerbate the tension by flying Nuclear Bombers over the North Korean Peninsula and engage in War games at their border. Similarly, Obama has continued supporting rebel troops in Syria, despite a growing backlash to this practice. This continuation of Arab Spring is causing Christians to be kidnapped and held hostage in Syria! Not to mention the spillover in Jordan from people fleeing this conflict created by the US, French and English involvement. We support humanitarian measures only. As US troops (over 2000) wait for deployment to Syria, our President refuses to answer the tough questions regarding Libya. Why did it happen? Why was CIA Intel grossly inaccurate and why did the US install a former Al Qaeda leader as President of Libya? This is on the heels of Hamid Karzai in Afghanistan admitting he has been bribed by the CIA for Years! When will the U.S. stop the practices of starting endless Wars?
All of this has occurred with little or no checks and balances that would normally be presented in the free press. The reality is ... in America the free press is suppressed. We have found out the hard way how the media systematically ignores any dissent in America. If you are on the blogosphere, you are forgotten or erased. In 2008, we decided to launch the "blackface video" in response to a general lack of interest in questioning a black President. In order to parody the failures of Obama, David impersonated him in blackface. Our goal is still to raise the bar of awareness on racial equality. We will tackle the tough issues like Affirmative Action and find balance. Currently it clearly judges people on the "color of their skin, not the content of their character". We will work toward ending racial profiling and stopping police brutality. In the dialogue that is emerging from the "blackface video", we are seeing the true nature of racism appear on all sides. We are dedicated to integration and free speech. Together all people can discuss their concerns openly, without being denied their free speech.

Drone Deployment
We are officially against the deployment of drones within the U.S.! With Obama signing the FAA Re-Authorization Act in 2012, he cleared the way for 30,000 drones to fly over our heads by 2020! Furthermore Eric Holder alluded to the possible use of drones against U.S. Citizens. Let us not forget that much of this started with George Bush. We as Centrists, must certainly work to end the USE of ALL DRONES in the United States for surveillance purposes. To pretend to want commercial use of drones creates a slippery slope. We don't want commercial contracted workers spying on the American people!
Legalization
We hope you all had a wonderful 4/20! We look forward to a time when marijuana is legalized on a federal level. Tell your friends that David Jon Sponheim wants to legalize marijuana!
The Economy
This is a very unusual time in our economy. The stock market seems to be doing fantastic, yet unemployment remains high. Although some economists claim we are "recovering," we have seen many businesses shutting their doors. Some businesses, especially in the health care field, are building new facilities on virgin land. Meanwhile, buildings of a similar size sit vacant just down the street from these new locations. Why didn't they simply move into an existing structure? The banks gave them a loan for new development to pretend to prop up the economy. Also, when these businesses do shutter their doors in a few years, which is likely to happen, the banks can claim ownership of more developed property and charge higher prices for this "prime real estate" which no one will be able to afford.
Much of this "new money" is indirectly coming from the Federal Reserve, which is borrowing against our future. We would like to end the Fed and create an infrastructure bank. This infrastructure bank will offer 2% loans to US businesses, hiring US citizens at a living wage. This would be far more effective in stimulating our economy and creating real growth.
